Artist Statement

My work explores the balance between structure and play, combining modern design with retro and whimsical elements. I am drawn to bold color, clean forms, and thoughtful compositions that create a sense of energy and personality. Color plays an important role in my process, allowing me to express emotion, create contrast, and bring visual interest to each piece.
I am especially inspired by the Bauhaus movement, particularly their focus on simplicity, balance, and purposeful design. These influences have shaped the way I think about composition and color. I am also inspired by contemporary artists like Amanda Kreidlekamp and Nicole Webber, whose work encourages me to continue experimenting and building confidence in my own creative process.
As I’ve grown as an artist, I’ve become more intentional in my creative decisions and more confident in exploring new ideas. My work is often influenced by personal experiences, observations, and moments that stand out to me. I’ve learned to trust experimentation and allow ideas to develop naturally, which has helped me better understand my own style and creative voice.
This body of work represents my growth over time and reflects both where I started and where I am now. It shows my exploration of style, my willingness to experiment, and my commitment to continuing to grow as an artist.
